Formed in 1994 in a basement in Hobart, Indiana, Indoor Boy cranked out a uniquely American style of shoegazer pop. In 1997, a reformed Indoor Boy moved to Chicago and adopted a more concise pop sound, heavy with delayed guitars, animated bass lines, pounding drums and homespun vocal harmonies.
